PoppyClan cats make their home in a dense thicket, where they are mostly protected from the elements, but allow the wind to blow through. While they have a barrier surrounding the camp, it isn't nearly as impressive as that of other Clans─a sign of their confidence in their generations-old floral defenses. Dens are made in fallen logs and bushes, carefully constructed for maximum comfort. The nursery and healer's dens are dug between stone and have hanging moss at their entrances. The leader makes announcements from the stump of a long-fallen tree. Vines and flowers are weaved in the tree branches and bushes. The sound of simple wind chimes fill the air in and around camp, serving both an aesthetic purpose as decor and a defensive purpose as a warning system.

PoppyClan camp sits on the very edge of a beautiful forest, housing all the prey one could hope to catch and the main place cats go when they need a moment to themselves. This forest is nowhere near as dense as those in FogClan or RidgeClan, allowing warm sunlight to dapple on one's fur at any given time. This area actually has the starkest barrier along the border compared to the rest of the territory. Wind chimes are the loudest here, and the brambles and briar are very deliberately organized, rather than blending with the terrain. The forest is tempting to loners, so PoppyClan has made it quite obvious where the Clanless are not allowed to cross.

Stretching along the river and RidgeClan’s border is the flowering meadow that PoppyClan cats spend most of their time in. The meadow is named after a matriarch from long ago who was said to leave a trail of flowers behind her no matter the season, bringing hope and joy to kittens even during the hunger moons. Generations have passed since then and many cats simply refer to it as “the meadow” or “the flowerfield.” The wind is felt best here, and warriors often slow their patrols to bask in the peaceful air. Keep your senses on you, though; while large predators are rare in this part of the territory, other critters are roaming the tallgrass too. You wouldn’t want to get bit by a snake, now would you?

While PoppyClan cats can technically lay claim to the mountains on their eastern side, there’d be no use when they have no way of scaling it efficiently. Instead, they mark their borders along the Foothills and the forests within them. Here, cats hone their ability to tend to plants. The barrier on their border isn't as thick here, as the Rainspine itself is an efficient obstacle to rogues. PoppyClan warriors focus their hunting in these forests when leaf-bare rolls around. In the deepest part of the Foothills, the Garden resides, a plot in which plants are rotated each season, and in which a PoppyClan apprentice undergoes their warrior assessment.

Tucked away deep in the misty forest, the FogClan camp is well-protected and nearly impenetrable. It's located in a dip in the ground at a higher altitude, making it unlikely to flood despite the numerous rivers and ponds. Brambles and gnarled roots fortify the perimeter. Unlike the rest of the territory, there's a break in the trees, allowing precious sunlight through for cats to sunbathe and share tongues in. Dens are made out of bushes and dug underneath the large tree roots. The leader makes announcements from one such gnarled tree root. Kits and apprentices make the most out of the limited sun and splash in a very shallow pond just outside of the camp walls--though always under the eye of a warrior. The sound of the gentle terraced waterfalls that begin just a couple tree-lengths south make for a pleasant ambiance to fall asleep to.

The densest part of the misty forest, where massive tree roots twist and turn and coil around each other, and the canopy stretches higher than any other place. FogClan cats have a somewhat romanticized vision of their home territory, seeing this place as a playground for cats to hunt and hang out when they are finished with their duties. It isn't uncommon for warriors to give in to the kit-like urge to play hide-and-seek here. Closer to the camp, natural terraced waterfalls called the Murmuring Pools constantly bubble and whisper. Shallow little streams break away from the pools and spread throughout the territory.

As the forest opens up to the river and the mist subsides, one will find themselves walking along the idyllic reedy river. Despite how wide the river here seems, the current is slow and the water is shallow as it deposits sediment. Wading birds raise their young amongst the reeds while dragonflies zip over the water and frogsong fills the air. A FogClan cat can easily swim between the islands and fish to their heart's content without much of a workout. Just outside the border is Turtleshell Island, which houses a second "camp" that FogClan sometimes uses during the rainy summer moons.

Bordering FogClan to the north is the Serpent's Run, the narrow and winding portion of the great river cutting through the land. The rocks are slippery and hit with the water's spray at all times, kicking up mist and contributing to the territory's poor visibility. Prey is rich here as they cross over from the plains to the forest for shelter. Though the rapids are chaotic and the river is deepest here, an experienced swimmer should be able to cross it just fine. In fact, apprentices come here to perform their final test before they are named a warrior. FogClan cats occasionally cross this river to reach the neutral territories further north and the Moonpool to the east.

Nestled within the cliffs of the mountains is the home of the RidgeClan camp. There's only one way in without having to descend a couple tree-lengths of steep cliff-face, and it's being watched by warriors from all angles at any given moment. The cats of RidgeClan sleep in piles upon the stone ledges underneath the night sky, protected by their ancestors and the wind. If one needs privacy, dens have been carved into the cliff and vines are draped over their entrances. The nursery, of course, is tucked away in one of these dens and guarded well. The camp is multi-tiered, making full use of RidgeClan cats' climbing ability, but gentle inclines have been dug in place for those who find it difficult. When it comes time for announcements, the clan gathers around the rockpile in the camp's clearing.

The wind slows and becomes docile as it twirls through this grove of pine trees, its voice a whisper while it watches over the animals scurrying about. There are numerous clearings to train in and large stones to climb over and under. The ground is soft and mossy, nurtured by the mountain rain. Small streams run through here and there, springing up from beneath the earth. Little fish swim in here, though RidgeClan would rather watch them than eat them. The birds that are plentiful here, though? Those get caught as apprentices are taught to climb. Nests with eggs or babies are left alone, and crows are never touched. They remember faces.

A rather open section of the mountain that is exposed to the sun. While the Windreach provides a good look at the Clan territories, the Sunbreak Hills allows RidgeClan to scout the Rugged Highland. The wind isn't as untamed as the Rainspine, though it will still ruffle your fur. It brings tidings of what lays beyond. Large ungulates sometimes venture here, seemingly unbothered by the cats skirting their path. They're not so bad to be around as long as you keep your distance. If there's too many of them gathered in the hills, sometimes RidgeClan will use wind chimes to scare them off. The bigger, badder things that follow them will not be as kind to cats, after all.

The tallest mountains in Clan territory. The Rainspine stretches from horizon to horizon, splitting the land in two. As its name suggests, it regularly rains on the mountain, blessing the Clans below with precious water to keep the land lush and bountiful while leaving little for the other side. The wind gets wilder as one gets closer to the top, whistling and lashing at the trees as it dances freely among the peaks. RidgeClan is competent when it comes to climbing the rocky terrain. The Singing Stones and the Windreach are here, jutting out from the cliff-face and allowing RidgeClan to listen to the wind's voice where it is clearest—and safest.

The island in the middle of the river, easily accessible by cats of all Clans. FogClan follows a set of stepping stones or simply swims to shore, while RidgeClan and PoppyClan use a fallen tree as a bridge. This is a neutral, sacred ground. While cats of any Clan can come here to hunt, they must never fight. Gatherings take place here every moon.

Curled to the side of the Rainspine, the Mothermouth is a gaping opening in the mountains. It is dark in here, but there is bioluminescent flora and a draft to lead the way to the Moonpool. The Moonpool isn't located in a true cave; there is a hollow that allows moon and starlight to shine upon the water's surface and allows the wind to bring the ancestors' words to the earth. Medicine cats convene here to share news and speak directly to StarClan, while leaders are brought here to receive their nine lives. All is quiet, with only the faint bubble of water as it emerges from within the mountain and the whispering wind to fill the silence.

A blissful, overgrown plain that borders PoppyClan and parts of FogClan. This is a wonderful place for loners to raise their families in, as prey is abundant and the terrain is gentle. Sometimes neutral cat colonies will wander here, but they take care to avoid stepping over the toes of the Clan cats. Keep an eye on the sky, though. Birds of prey can be seen soaring above. Further south, human houses rise from the ground. There are flat, woody trails that stretch out from these houses and above the plain, allowing the wildlife to walk under. Humans never leave these trails, instead preferring to just... watch. Sometimes humans in similar pelts will leave the trail and stare at the Clan borders.

As its name implies, this is where the mist of FogClan's territory begins to thin out. The forest is still quite dense here. The wind has a hard time winding through the trees. Loners who prefer to be in an enclosed space will stay around this area, making dens underneath roots or in abandoned burrows. Those strange Clan cats sometimes venture out here to trade information with the loners or find better hunting, but they're very quick to withdraw back into the mist. They never cause trouble, though, so it's pretty easy to turn them into a harmless ghost story to tell kits.

A mildly difficult-to-traverse, rocky area that has sparse forests and tallgrass. RidgeClan cats will venture out here in the winter moons in search of better hunting, taking care to avoid the ungulates that roam here lest the herd panics and tramples the cats beneath them. It's quite windy here, but not terribly so. The plants are constantly rustling and use the wind to disperse their seeds. Hardier wildflowers color the landscape, while cats use the shrubs as shelter when the mountain rain comes.

A place consisting of desert and xeric shrublands. There is little water to be found here, but life always finds a way. Neutral cat colonies and rogues roam this land in surprising numbers. Cats, after all, are highly efficient little predators who are excellent in the heat. There is a well-known oasis that they gather at to exchange news and greet friends. The rock formations are astonishing and reach high into the air, providing cover for animals to thrive in. Sometimes humans can be seen walking alone or in small groups, but they mostly stick to well-trodden paths.

A direct reflection of the territories the ancestors once lived in. It is the Clan cats' paradise; a place for honorable warriors to rest. There is no fear for natural disasters, and there is no sickness or hunger (though the ancestors may hunt the bountiful prey and eat for the sake of it). The water is crisp and cool to lap at. If the ancestors wish for rain, gentle sunshowers scatter light in a beautiful array of colors. Softly-gleaming stardust lays in a thin layer across the forest floor, easily carried around by the playful, ever-present wind.

If StarClan is paradise, then the cats of the Dark Forest live in hell. The stagnant air of this windless place makes even breathing an effort on its own. The prey that lurks here is thin and never fills your belly. There are no predators here except the other cats that roam the sparse forest, but there is always an acute feeling of being watched. The waters are always foul. The soil is damp and sticky, and paws do not come away clean. Without a breeze at your beck and call, even the strongest cats fail to shake off the ever-present weight upon their shoulders.
